Atif Siddiqui

Coordinator, Proposals and Funding

Atif is the Proposals and Funding Coordinator at SHS. In this role, he undertakes community development research projects and is particularly interested in improving quality of life for seniors. He previously worked at the Peel Elder Abuse Prevention Network (PEAPN) where he provided public education on the prevention of elder abuse.

For the past five years, Atif has been a volunteer and mentor at Spectra Helpline where he provides listening and emotional support to people in distress. He also volunteers at: David Suzuki Foundation, CARP Mississauga and is an active member on the City of Mississauga’s Age-Friendly Initiative. He also provides website support to Silver Links News, a print and online magazine on healthy aging in Peel-Halton.

Current work

Atif is working with groups in Toronto that are exploring new development opportunities with CMHC’s Seed and Co-Investment funding. As well, he is working with an organization looking to create affordable housing for single, isolated seniors.

Bachelor of Arts, Political Science (York University)
